Beer Review Week — O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer

No Comments on Beer Review Week — O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer

This beer ended up in my collection of mix and match because it had a pumpkin on it and it was the last of its kind (being a seasonal, I am not surprised). So how does the O’Fallon Pumpkin Beer match up to the rest of the week?

Pouring this beer made it apparent it was the darkest so far. A deep, golden brown. Light yellow, white head. The pumpkin and cinnamon flavors come out in the smell, which is also a bit hoppy.

The pumpkin flavor comes out strong. It wouldn’t be unfair to compare it to a pumpkin cake of some kind. It’s almost a sweet flavor, and not in a bad way. The alcohol content is 5.6%, lower than the high alcohol beers from earlier, and the smoothness of the brew is reflected in that. There’s zero bitterness to this beer. I hate to say I didn’t like it, because it really is a good beer and it tasted good. Bendy loved it, and I let her have the rest of it. I think maybe I overestimated my desire to drink a pumpkin.

This is a really good, sweet beer, and I’ll probably pick it up again in the future. But I’ll have to be in a pretty pumpkin-y mood.
