The Lawson Redirect Most all of my writing time and energy is currently going to fiction writing. I can pontificate all I want about politics, and I truly have a passion for it and care deeply about the people currently getting the short end, but it is very tiresome and I do not get a cent from writing it. The… Read more »
Don’t just wish for it For all the flak Donal Trump gets for his various statements, you can’t deny that his slogan is one that many people can identify with: “Make America Great Again” — and this slogan has no passiveness to it. Under a similar standard we should make 2016 great and not be passive about that and not… Read more »
Merry Christmas I haven’t written about it much here, but in my younger days I was a big fan of professional wrestling. This was during the height of its popularity in the nineties, a time when there were more superstars than ever before (or since, if you ask me). There were still a lot of problems with it but overall… Read more »

Today is day three of NNWM. After a zero word day Sunday, I made up for it with a 2500 word day Monday. To beat my record for time, I need to average just over 2200 per day. Starting in the hole isn’t great but it isn’t a disaster either.
Sunday starts the annual exercise in frustration for many of us. As I have every year since I heard about it, I will be participating. But this time I intend to complete it with something I like.

A great number of avenues for entertainment are currently being run by people with other aims, people with agendas other than to entertain. People who think message fiction is more… Read more »
Ah, the grill and the gridiron. I’ve made no secret of my enjoyment of cooking. I don’t really go with recipes as anything more than basic guidelines, but enjoy taking those basic guidelines and going off in my own direction. Creating something new, combining flavors to get just the right taste, and improving on the recipes every time. There’s something… Read more »
