Maria Cardona, a Democrat strategist, just said this in reference to Obama’s gun executive order(s): “It may not have an affect on gun violence, but why not try?”

Of course, when it doesn’t work, the cry will be: “Let’s try again, only harder!”

Because it won’t work.

  • That’s the same sort of attitude that 0bama’s croney, former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, had about Common Core. It was a disaster, but as long as the people in charge are a bunch of unqualified 0bama friends from Chicago (e.g. Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett) or otherwise part of the Democrat political machine, public policy decisions will be made capriciously or with hidden agendas.

    • Sadly, that same attitude is behind *most* horrid government policies. Most do belong to the Democrats (Obamacare is a shining example — “well we have to do SOMETHING!”) but there are some awful Republican policies, too — mostly establishment types, to be fair. Whoever came up with “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” was clearly thinking about big government.
